Born and raised in Canisteo, New York, graduated in 2006 from the Canisteo-Greenwood Central School District. In 2008 he received an Associates Degree from Alfred State College in Liberal Arts-Social Sciences. He then pursued his education at Daemen College in Buffalo for Childhood/Special Education. KY. accepted a position with the Hornell City Police Department prior to finishing his Bachelors Degree in April of 2010. In 2011 he graduated from the Rural Police Training Academy in Batavia, NY and became a New York State certified Police Officer. In April of 2013 he left the Hornell City Police Department and took over the Canisteo Village Police Department and was promoted to Sergeant in May of 2015. He currently resides in the City of Hornell with his family. KY. is a New York State Certified General Topics Instructor, along with a Defensive Tactics Instructor and Field Training Officer. He currently teaches Defensive Tactics at the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy in Corning, NY. KY. has additional certifications in RADAR/LIDAR, Breath Test Operator, Field Sobriety Testing, ASP Tactical Baton, Taser, OC Spray, CPR/AED, First Responder, Bicycle Patrol, Multiple Active Shooter Response Trainings, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, Opioid Overdose and Intranasal Naloxone Training, and other general topics. KY. is on the board of the Steuben County Chiefs of Police Association and the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Police Academy In Corning, NY. He looks forward to continuing his career with the Canisteo Village Police Department.
