Connecting Law Enforcement and the Community

The Police Club of the Canisteo Village Police Department in Canisteo, NY, was created to promote and support enhanced interaction between law enforcement and the community. We are continually involved with, promoting, and organizing community events and fundraisers, as well as offering a scholarship. In 2014 the Canisteo Police Club was established by Police Chief Kyle Amidon and Officer John McNelis.

Objectives of the Canisteo Police Club

  • To promote interaction, and understanding, between members of local law enforcement and the community we serve. Further, to serve as an example to the community by displaying the traits that embody excellence in public service. These traits include fairness, compassion, honor, respect, honesty, integrity, and community service.
  • To fundraise in order to procure additional equipment and training for the Village of Canisteo Police Department, in order to more effectively serve the community. Additionally, to provide support for local community organizations, schools, or charities, on behalf of a grateful police club.
  • To provide a platform to inform all members, and members of the community, of matters pertinent to law enforcement. Particularly, matters of social, judicial, and legislative importance.
  • To promote and advance the interests of the Canisteo Police Club, and law enforcement in general, within the surrounding communities.
  • As a not for profit organization, we rely on the generosity of the community to support our objectives. To support our cause and mission, please donate.
